Direct Therapy

ABA is research-based and scientifically proven to be an effective approach to teaching children with Autism. LEAPS utilizes a combination of discrete trial training and natural environment teaching to provide a unique therapy model.  With an emphasis on verbal behavior in our therapy model, ABA adapts from rote learning into a  naturalistic way of teaching with an emphasis on language.  Learning occurs through the lens of a child in the context of play.  Our Registered Behavior Technicians strive to make learning engaging by finding the motivation of the child and teach skills that address many developmental milestones including communication, play skills, social skills, and activities of daily living. Data is collected during each session using the Central Reach online data collection system to track specific progress across goals.

Supervision

Supervision is provided from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst on a weekly basis during each client’s therapy sessions. The BCBA will provide feedback to the Behavior Technician, monitor the client’s progress, and make program or goal modifications where necessary. BCBAs also complete re-evaluations for each client every six months.

Caregiver Education

Ongoing caregiver education is an integral part of client success. BCBAs work closely with parents and caregivers of clients to ensure carry over of skills occurs in the home environment and in community settings. BCBAs model skills targeted during therapy sessions and parents implement these skills within other environments.

Meet the Owners

In 2020, Hailey and Matthew were met with the incredible opportunity to take ownership of Bridges Learning Center, the behavioral discipline of Building Bridges Therapy. After much prayer and planning, they took a LEAP of faith and jumped in head first. Through the end of 2020 and into the first quarter of 2021, the transition from Bridges Learning Center to LEAPS Therapy Clinic became a reality.

Hailey began her career in Behavioral Therapy as an RBT after completing her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2013. She then obtained her Master’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis in 2017 and achieved certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.  This certification allowed her to take a supervisory role in her client’s cases and begin training and supervising Registered Behavior Technicians.

Hailey utilizes her experience as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to handle all clinical aspects of the business.  Matthew handles all the financial aspects of the business.  They strive to provide LEAPS families with the most up to date and evidenced based behavioral therapy services. They also do their  best to keep therapy as affordable as possible and work hard for insurance coverage for your services.

Hailey and Matthew have felt that continuing to provide behavioral services to the North Georgia area is an important task and are eager to take on the mantle and move forward. The hope and prayer of LEAPS is to work with families to make a positive impact on the lives of their little ones. This mission is fulfilled through the hiring and training of professionals who share LEAPS’ values and vision. Please do not hesitate to contact LEAPS with questions you may have regarding our services.
